Hướng dẫn cách làm bài thi VSTEP Writing task 1,2 hiệu quả

VSTEP Writing là bài thi viết trong kỳ thi chứng chỉ tiếng anh khung 6 bậc dùng cho Việt Nam. Cấu trúc đề thi gồm 2 phần thi:

• Task 1: viết thư hoặc email.
• Task 2: viết bài luận.
• Tổng 2 phần sẽ có khoảng 4 câu hỏi, thời gian làm bài 60 phút. Điểm tối đa 25 điểm.

Cấu trúc đề thi viết writing VSTEP

Đề thi viết kỳ thi VSTEP gồm 2 phần với thời gian làm bài 60 phút. Dưới đây là nội dung chi tiết của từng phần thi.

Các chủ đề thường dùng trong đề thi writing VSTEP

• Phần thi viết thư hoặc email thường sử dụng chủ đề kinh doanh, tài chính, xã hội, dịch vụ……Nội dung thường là viết thư/email xin lỗi, phàn nàn, cảm ơn, phản ánh dịch vụ…
• Phần thi viết bài luận thường yêu cầu viết bài phân tích, đánh giá, đưa ra giải pháp…về một chủ đề như môi trường, kinh doanh, tài chính… thí sinh sẽ phải sử dụng những kiến thức và kinh nghiệm của bản thân để trình bày.

Tiêu chí chấm điểm phần thi VSTEP writing

Bài thi writing VSTEP sẽ do giám khảo chấm điểm. Để đạt được điểm tối đa cần phải đáp ứng được các tiêu chí sau:

• Nội dung bài viết cần phải bám sát yêu cầu của đề thi.
• Bố cục bài viết phải rõ ràng, bao gồm các ý chính, ý phụ, đồng thời có sự liên kết với nhau trong từng đoạn. Có tư duy và đưa ra giải pháp xử lý.
• Trong bài viết phải sử dụng ngôn từ một cách phong phú và đa dạng. Do đó thí sinh cần phải thường xuyên trau dồi kiến thức từ vựng VSTEP của mình để bởi đây là chìa khóa thành công cho mọi kỹ năng khác.
• Cuối cùng thí sinh cần phải tránh các lỗi sai chính tả, sai cấu trúc ngữ pháp.

Để thi đỗ A2 VSTEP thí sinh cần đáp ứng ít nhất 2 trong 4 tiêu chí để. Để thi đạt B1, B2, C1 thí sinh cần phải đạt cả 4 tiêu chí.

Hướng dẫn giải đề thi VSTEP writing

Task 1: Write a letter or email

Đề thi sẽ yêu cầu viết bức thư hoặc email với chủ đề: thư xin lỗi, thư phàn nàn, thư cảm ơn, thư mời, thư xin việc….

• Lời chào: Hello/ Dear…
• Mục đích viết thư/ email: Hãy nêu lý do viết thư, đoạn này nên viết ngắn nhưng phải bao quát nội dung sẽ thể hiện.

Task 2 Writing VSTEP 3.5 nội dung thường yêu cầu viết bài luận.

Read the following passage from a newspaper article.

Some hydroelectric projects have had negative impacts on agricultural land and forests. Concrete blocks for hydropower construction have replaced the green of the forest. Trees were destroyed to clear the land.

Write an essay for an educated audience to discuss the impact of hydroelectricity on forests. Include reasons and any relevant examples to support your answer.

You should write at least 250 words. Your responses will be evaluated based on Task Completion, Organization, Vocabulary, and Grammar. 

Cách làm: Với dạng bài này cần phải thể hiện được kiến thức và kinh nghiệm của bản thân. Để đạt điểm tối đa trong phần thi này hãy thực hiện như sau:

• Làm dàn ý cho bài luận: Đây là công đoạn rất quan trọng giúp bài luận có tính logic, nội dung mạch lạc, xuyên suốt. Việc lập dàn ý là phác thảo ý tưởng cách triển khai, những nội dung sẽ thực hiện. Có được dàn ý sẽ làm nhanh hơn, không mất thời gian suy nghĩ mình sẽ phải viết gì.
• Câu chủ đề của bài luận: Câu chủ đề là phần bắt buộc phải có trong bài luận, thông qua câu chủ đề người đọc sẽ biết nội dung bài viết là gì.
• Phần mở đầu của bài luận: Hãy viết một đoạn nêu lên vấn đề mà mình sẽ đưa ra giải pháp hoặc thông báo cho người đọc điểm chính của bài viết.
• Phần thân của bài luận: Sau khi đã nêu lên vấn đề, đến phần này hãy triển khai phân tích những ý chính, nói lên ưu nhược điểm của vấn đề, nêu lên giải pháp hoặc nhận định cá nhân. Nội dung trong phần này cần thể hiện tầm quan trọng của chủ đề đang đưa ra giải pháp, hãy đưa thêm những ví dụ về hậu quả để bài viết có tính thuyết phục hơn.
• Phần kết bài: Phần này có thể nhắc lại chủ đề hoặc cung cấp những thông tin tổng quan hoặc tóm tắt những nội dung đã phân tích trong bài luận.

• Mở đầu (greeting + introduction): Mở bài tự nhiên, đúng hình thức email cá nhân.
• Thân bài (main body): Có sự phản hồi cảm xúc về chuyến đi, thể hiện sự hứng thú, đồng thời đưa ra các câu hỏi cụ thể để mở rộng nội dung.
• Kết bài (closing): Lịch sự, đúng ngữ cảnh giao tiếp bạn bè.

2. Ngôn ngữ phù hợp:

Task 2 – Essay

Đề bài:

Some people think that deforestation is the most serious environmental problem. Others believe that it is global warming. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Phân tích:

1. Bố cục chặt chẽ, chuẩn 4 đoạn:

• Introduction: Giới thiệu chủ đề + paraphrase đề bài, không chép lại nguyên văn.
• Thân bài 1: Trình bày lý do tại sao nhiều người cho rằng deforestation là vấn đề nghiêm trọng.
• Thân bài 2: Trình bày lý do vì sao nhiều người lo ngại về global warming.
• Kết luận: Tóm tắt lại quan điểm và khẳng định ý kiến cá nhân.

Some people believe that students should study in groups, while others think they should study alone. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Phân tích bài mẫu dưới góc nhìn giảng viên:

1. Cấu trúc đoạn văn rõ ràng – logic:

• Bài viết được chia thành 4 đoạn: mở bài, hai đoạn thân bài cho hai quan điểm, và kết luận có nêu ý kiến cá nhân.
• Câu chủ đề (topic sentence) ở mỗi đoạn rất rõ ràng, giúp người đọc dễ theo dõi lập luận.

2. Phát triển ý có chiều sâu:

• Mỗi quan điểm được giải thích bằng ví dụ thực tế trong học tập (e.g. teamwork, focus time…).
• Có sự so sánh để nhấn mạnh sự khác biệt giữa hai cách học.

3. Ngôn ngữ học thuật đơn giản nhưng hiệu quả:

• Sử dụng từ nối như On the one hand, However, In contrast, In my view… để chuyển ý mạch lạc.
• Kết hợp được cả câu phức và câu bị động, có cách diễn đạt linh hoạt cho cùng một ý.

In conclusion, while both methods are useful, I believe that studying alone is more effective for me because I can concentrate better and organize my study time more efficiently.
